To explain to a wide audience how to conduct a fact check and choose reliable sources of information.
To prevent the spread of misinformation, quickly verify facts, suspicious or viral messages in the media and social networks.
To provide materials from Behind the News to mass media for distribution.
To point out intentional/unintentional unprofessional behavior of mass media and motivate journalists/media to verify information.
To develop critical thinking in the Ukrainian community.
To contribute to the formation of an active community of mass media users in Ukraine.
METHODS OF WORK
Behind the News is an information campaign that talks about misinformation and media literacy without using complicated words and terms
We explain complex things in simple words, show how manipulations work and refute everyday fakes - fakes that appear in the information space every day and that ordinary Ukrainians deal with
